Línea de trabajo

Read the existing results.h5 layout and its TREXIO-style naming, then trace how the job store and ecce-results write save results. Identify how the scan, geometry-trace, and MD panels currently read parsed properties, and check the H₂ potential curve example (#858) for the data it needs. Done means /trace stores per-point coordinates and energy, with scan coordinate and optional gradient and cell, and those panels can read it; the issue marks this work as low priority.

Descripción

Today results.h5 holds one geometry's basis, MOs and density; a scan's energies and geometries per point (SCANCOORD, SCANENERGY, GEOMTRACE) and an optimisation or MD trace live only in ECCE's parsed properties, and the raw output has to be kept for re-parsing. Example: the H₂ potential curve (#858) is 26 MB of ORCA output for five scans, mostly the orbitals and gradient printed at every step.

Wanted: a /trace group in results.h5 (TREXIO-style naming as the rest of the file): per point the coordinates, energy, scan coordinate value, and optionally gradient and cell; written by the job store and ecce-results write, read by the scan, geometry-trace and MD panels. Then an example can ship results.h5 plus the small parsed properties instead of the full output.

Low priority (back burner).
