Reproduce the grompp failure with the newer minff layout and check how variant and O-M-O angle-constant selection are represented. ECCE 9.3 bundles min.ff at commit d12b895b (third_party/minff). The newest minff commit, 22ebd627, renamed the parameter files (e.g. ffnonbonded_tminff_k500.itp -> ffnonbonded_tminff.itp, new forcefield_gminff.itp) and the defines that select the variant and the O-M-O angle constant. With it, grompp fails with Unknown bond_atomtype Oh and the TMINFF mineral list fails, so tests/minff does not pass and the release rule keeps the pinned commit.
To do: make scripts/minff_topology.py write topol.top for the new layout (variant and angle-constant selection), update tests/minff and tests/launch/gromacs_prepare_test.py, then bundle the new commit and name it in the release notes.
