Descrizione

enhancement

Paint displacement onto a brush's surfaces: push the surface in or out with a brush tool.

The displacement has to be volumetric, not just a displaced render mesh: the brush is subdivided into sub-brushes, and the painted displacement moves their outer faces. So the result stays a solid that takes part in the CSG, its collider follows it, and other brushes still cut it and are cut by it.

  • Paint raises or lowers points of the subdivision grid of the surface; the subdivision is only as fine as the painting needs.
  • The sub-brushes are generated and kept with the brush, not something the user edits one by one.
  • Undo, and editing the brush's shape afterwards, keep the painted displacement where it can.
  • Builds on the paint tool and its per-surface paint grid.
