Start by reading the linked cdot issue (SACGF/cdot#54) to understand how partial NCBI gff alignments cause UTA/cdot discrepancies. Then locate where vrs-python fetches transcript coordinate data (cdot/UTA-backed translation) and determine how a mismatch could be detected at runtime. Done looks like: those discrepant cases raise a clear exception instead of silently returning wrong coordinates, with a test reproducing a partial-alignment transcript.

One possible gotcha identified so far: https://github.com/SACGF/cdot/issues/54, which leads to some discrepancies between UTA and cdot data files when an NCBI gff file only contains a partial alignment of a transcript. In the near term, I think we can identify these cases at runtime and raise an exception. Longer term we should address this in cdot.
