描述
The CREST Solvation Shell run type (QCG, --qcg solvent.xyz --nsolv N --ensemble) is registered and its deck is generated and checked (tests/launch/crest_test.py), but it has never completed: xtb dock, which QCG calls, aborts with a stack-smashing failure (__stack_chk_fail, then segfault) in Debian's xtb 6.7.1, with GFN2 and GFN-FF alike, also when called directly. The result-file names gensub looks for (ensemble/final_ensemble.xyz, final_ensemble.xyz, cluster.xyz, grow/cluster.xyz) come from CREST's documentation, not from a run.
To do: run QCG with an xtb whose docking works (the upstream static release build), confirm the result file names, and say in the help which xtb builds work. Also seen: GFN-FF with SHAKE crashes xtb's MD (the editor disables that combination).
