This is an outreach request asking maintainers to approve an external static scan of Python source, not a code change, and the payload names no file, test or entry point in this repository. A newcomer has nothing to start on here. The only step is a maintainer decision on whether to accept the pilot; any scanning would need prior written approval and a fixed commit.

Beschreibung

Hi ChatDev maintainers,

I'm Paul, maintainer of LLMSafe, a small open-source static scanner for Python agent trust boundaries.

ChatDev 2.0's configurable multi-agent workflows are a useful compatibility and false-positive case: can LLMSafe follow a model-influenced step through a narrowly scoped Python workflow/helper into a real tool capability, while avoiding warnings on intentional orchestration and documenting framework patterns it cannot resolve?

Would your team consider a free, opt-in, source-only compatibility pilot? We'd first agree an immutable public commit, one Python path and a private reporting route. Only with maintainer approval would I scan the public source locally, manually examine every result, and aim to share a concise private report with evidence paths, false positives, blind spots and reproduction commands within two working days of scope agreement.

I have not scanned ChatDev and am not reporting an observed weakness or requesting endorsement. No models, agents, accounts, private data, execution or deployment access are required. This is not a security certification or pentest. Any suspected vulnerability would be reported privately; no results or participation claims would be published without consent.

If this would be useful, please suggest one Python workflow/path and commit (current main is fine). If not, please close; I won't follow up.

Pilot scope: https://github.com/rezerpaul-crypto/llmsafe/blob/main/docs/pilot-program.md

Thanks,
Paul
