Research direction

Start with the 42160 Audi RS Q etron project and reproduce the steering calibration freeze. Inspect the calibration around motorSteering.run_target and motorSteering.reset_angle, then verify that calibration completes without freezing at about 45 degrees or disconnecting the controller.

Description

Hello Lasse, I tried your 42160 Audi RS Q etron code and actual version always freezes during steering calibration. The wheels turns right, left and then always freezes about 45 degrees to the left and the controller disconnects. I didn't have time to study where the problem exactly was (my son was standing behind me and already wanted to drive), but started working as far as I removed these two lines:

motorSteering.run_target(SPEED_STEERING, (maxSteering+minSteering)/2, then=Stop.HOLD)
motorSteering.reset_angle(0)

I will try later to look closely, but if you have time, please try to verify and publish a new version.

Thank you and have a nice rest of Christmas
