Research direction

The issue identifies the Achievements tab and avatar hover, but names no files, tests, or implementation entry points. Start by reading the code for that tab and how avatar hover details are displayed, then trace where player unlock data is available. Done means hovering an avatar shows the percentage of players who unlocked it; the issue does not specify how to calculate or test that percentage.

Description

Difficulty: Medium

What

On the Achievements tab (avatars), hovering an avatar shows how many players have unlocked it, e.g. "12% of players have this". Follow-on to #55.

Why

Players have no idea which avatars are rare or common. Rarity is what makes an achievement feel earned and worth chasing.

Impact

  • Rare avatars become something to show off.
  • Players get goals to aim for.
  • It gives a reason to keep playing and to try other modes.

If we don't

Every avatar feels the same. A rare one isn't recognised, and players have less reason to go after the harder achievements.
