Research direction

Find the Achievements tab code that renders avatar hover details and compare its locked and unlocked states. Show the unlock goal for an unlocked avatar as well; the issue names no file or test, so first locate that UI entry point. Done when hovering both locked and unlocked avatars displays their goal.

Description

Difficulty: Easy

What

On the Achievements tab (avatars), hovering an avatar you have already unlocked still shows what you did to unlock it.

Why

The goal ("Win 10 ranked games") only shows while an avatar is locked. Once you earn it, hovering shows nothing, and there's no way to see what it was for.

Impact

  • Players can see what each of their avatars represents.
  • Avatars work as achievements to show off, not just pictures.

If we don't

Earned avatars lose their meaning. Players forget, or never knew, what they did to get them. That makes the achievements less rewarding and less worth chasing.
