Clearly the retaliation from attacking an RTP should be that random crap in your game gets altered (player attributes, levels, inventory, demon prince summoning, etc) or your game crashes.
I don't think we should crash the game intentionally... ever. Altering stats seems more reasonable, but so long as it doesn't affect game balance. Perhaps simply level drain?
