Research direction

Start with scripts/check_contributors.py, especially add_stub and DEFAULT_AREA, and read the area table to see how row names are represented. Follow the existing --stub argument handling and tests, then check that --area defaults to the current row and rejects unknown names. Done when a stub appears only in the requested row and an invalid area produces an error.

Description

community enhancement good first issue

Where: scripts/check_contributors.py (add_stub, DEFAULT_AREA).

Current gap: The stub is added to one fixed row of the area table whatever the person changed, so someone who fixed a profiler bug lands under tooling and the maintainer moves them by hand.

Suggested approach: Add --area NAME (default the current row), validate it against the table's row names and test a stub placed in another row.

Done when: --stub LOGIN --area "Profiler - web" lists them in that row only, and an unknown area is an error.
