Research direction

Start by reading e2e/Dockerfile and the project’s e2e test command that runs docker build -t frontscope-e2e-image -f e2e/Dockerfile .. Check Docker’s Buildx guidance linked in the issue. Done when the e2e image builds without invoking the deprecated legacy builder and the e2e tests can run.

Description

maintenance

When running the e2e tests on my latest laption (Manjaro linux, kernel 7.2.10, node 26.11.1, Docker 29.9), I get the message

DEPRECATED: The legacy builder is deprecated and will be removed in a future release.
Install the buildx component to build images with BuildKit:
            https://docs.docker.com/go/buildx/

immediately after the command docker build -t frontscope-e2e-image -f e2e/Dockerfile . is echoed. Hence, we should move away from using the "legacy builder". Hopefully the link in the message has the info we need on how to do that.
