Current state (verified in output/flora_faq.md on main, 21 October 2026)
### When is a finding mixed?answers how coders rely on authors' statements, but does not say what mixed means. The closest definition is in a different answer (### What level is the database?: aggregated results where authors report conflicting results are considered mixed).### What are inclusion criteria?, second bullet: "The plugin tags replication outcomes as Successful, Failed, or Mixed…". This reads as copied from the Zotero plugin documentation; in the Explorer it refers to a plugin that is not on the page.- Outcome vocabulary: the Explorer charts six replication categories (Successful, Failed, Mixed, Inconclusive, Successful but flawed, Other / not coded), but the FAQ and inclusion text mention three.
Expected behaviour
- The mixed answer starts with a one-sentence definition, then explains coding provenance.
- The inclusion-criteria text refers to FLoRA coders or FLoRA, not a plugin.
- Optionally, one FAQ entry defines every outcome category in use, including statistically successful but flawed, descriptive only and uninformative. The Explorer can link to it (tracked in forrtproject/flora-explorer, see the linked issue).
Impact
Newcomers cannot interpret the legend or see why a mixed record can quote a failed result. Related: #142, which covers coding rationale for individual mixed verdicts.
