Description

It seems like I get caught a lot in spinning for a very long time. The two most likely things are when compaction is happening (maybe it finishes and isn't telling the thread correctly) and when waiting for a child to report back. Even after it goes idle and when I force it to reannounce, it still just spinds and I have to shut it all down.
