Línea de trabajo
Start by reading the cosmo_val dashboard and the catalogue passes on feat/catalogue-paper-figures, then inspect the TreeCorr correlation work on feat/catalogue-paper-correlations. Compare the listed figures with the existing dashboard products and tests to identify the relevant entry points. Done means all applicable validation figures are produced from catalogue snapshots; the two items marked Later remain dependent on per-exposure galaxy positions.

Descripción
The UNIONS shear catalogue paper (Paper I, v1.4.6.3) validates the catalogue with 32 figures. For v2, the cosmo_val dashboard should produce every applicable one from its own products, so each catalogue snapshot gets the same validation without anyone assembling plots by hand.
Already on the dashboard: n_eff and shape-noise maps, e1/e2 maps, PSF FWHM and star−PSF size maps, ρ, τ, the α–β–η posterior, and ξ_sys/ξ+.
To add, from catalogue passes (feat/catalogue-paper-figures):
- the SNR × size cell grid (counts, weights, response, shape noise)
- the galaxy response histogram
- residual star properties
- the star density map
- the r-magnitude map
- magnitude histograms by selection stage
- object-wise α per SNR × resolution cell
- ξ_sys from α–β–η vs α only
- additive-bias regressions against observables
To add, from TreeCorr position–shear correlations (feat/catalogue-paper-correlations):
- galaxy γ_t/γ_× around PSF stars
- PSF-star shapes around galaxies
- galaxy shapes around tile centres
- galaxy shapes around Gaia DR3 stars in G bins
- α(θ) in magnitude bins
Later: galaxy shapes around CCD centres and the focal-plane mean shear. Both need each galaxy's position on each exposure.
Not applicable to cosmo_val: the MCALens κ map (cosmological signal from a separate pipeline) and the detection-image cutout.
All new figures are systematics tests rather than cosmological statistics, so none of them emits ξ±, Cℓ or κ. They stack on feat/cosmo-val-dashboard-figures.
