Read the VideoDecoderConfig definition and the VideoFrame visibleRect behavior in the WebCodecs specification. Compare the existing rotation and flip metadata with cropping information such as Matroska's PixelCrop* elements, then determine whether the API should accept an optional visibleRect; done means the proposal has a clear resolution and any required specification changes are identified.

Beschreibung

VideoDecoderConfig already defines "pure metadata" fields like rotation and flip that are not properties of the bitstream but rather metadata that the output VideoFrames are tagged with. Since containers can also define cropping information, like Matroska's PixelCrop* elements, should VideoDecoderConfig be extended with an optional visibleRect field?

A workaround is to update the visibleRect field on the VideoFrames manually as the decoder spits them out.
