Start by reading the existing Quicksave command and how DFHack interacts with Dwarf Fortress save slots; the issue does not name files or tests. Decide how manual saves should be named, limited, and triggered, then determine whether DFHack can support that behavior across the mentioned game versions. Done means a workable design and implementation for configurable manual saves.

Beschreibung

As for now, we have the Quicksave command, that as far as i understand uses the slot of a Autosave, right?
And, as far as i understand, on the more modern versions, 50+ there's no way to add more slots to autosaves.
So, i was thinking, could there be either an addition to the Quicksave, a setting that says it will Manual Save with the name of the Day an Month as the saves (Or something you could set up, like "[fortress name]+Number" and set up a maximum amount of Manual Saves DFHack will make.

This would be a way to create our own "Autosaves", allowing us to use the Repeat command to automate and act like autosaves, without the restriction of only 3 Slots.

This could help if you start a mega-project, or make some really stupid design decision, and need to go back before it was made, or even if you do something that corrupted your saves (mostly with mods), you can go back enough to not engage with the corrupting mod.

Don't know if DFHack could do it, but overall it would be a nice QoL feature.
