Research direction

Start by checking the existing custom-validator input handling and documentation or examples; the issue does not name specific files or tests. Determine whether a validator can receive another parameter's value, using the URDF/SRDF example as the target case. Done means establishing whether this is supported and, if not, defining the change needed to enable it.

Description

enhancement

Is there any way to use other parameter values as inputs to custom validators? For example, say we have URDF and SRDF parameters, and we want to make sure they are consistent with one another in a custom validator.

robot_description_parameters:
  urdf:
    type: string
  srdf:
    type: string
    validation:
      "robot_description_validators::srdf_compatible": [urdf]
