Problems

  1. The file uses network.allowed-domains (lines 13, 111, 166, 186, 198), e.g.:

network:\n allowed-domains:\n - "api.github.com"

The gh-aw network reference documents the key as network.allowed (for example allowed: [defaults, github]). allowed-domains is a safe-outputs key, not a network key. The link anchor #configuration should also be checked.

  1. Lines 104-105 say protected-files.exclude "flags listed files for mandatory review", and the example excludes .github/workflows/** and README.md to protect them. Per the safe-outputs-pull-requests reference, exclude removes entries from the default protected set. The example therefore makes workflow files unprotected rather than protected.

  2. policy: request_review is now the legacy spelling. The documented default is request-review, and blocked is the hard-block option. Use blocked to stop changes to .github/workflows/**.

Suggested fix

  • Replace network.allowed-domains with network.allowed and update the example and checkpoint.
  • Rewrite the protected-files table and example: allowed-files limits paths, protected-files.policy (request-review / blocked / fallback-to-issue) sets the response, and exclude opts files out of protection.
