The warning is raised from the geopandas geoseries.py line 772 while climada.util.test.test_lines_polys_handler runs, so start by running that test and finding the positional Series indexing in the climada code it exercises. Replace integer-key lookups with .iloc where position is meant, or .loc where a label is meant. Done when the FutureWarning no longer appears and the test still passes. The issue has no comments or assignee, so confirm the intended behaviour with maintainers first.

Series.getitem treating keys as positions is deprecated. In a future version, integer keys will always be treated as labels (consistent with DataFrame behavior). To access a value by position, use ser.iloc[pos]
