Research direction

Start by tracing how the driver detects and handles monitors when the display input changes; the issue says previously known monitors are skipped. Reproduce by switching from HDMI2 to DisplayPort and back on macOS, then inspect the monitor handling entry point and any related tests. Done means output returns after switching back to HDMI2.

Description

enhancement
What should it do, and why does it matter to you?

(had to switch to a feature request because it wouldn't let me do anything without a report ID, which is useless)

If you run MacOS with the driver on HDMI2, foot example, and switch to another input port, DisplayPort, for example, and back to HDMI2, MacOS gives no output anymore.

This is because of how monitors are handled, you only give output that weren't known before, but if they're known you skip them.
