Opened by @francescobianco as an adoption-focused good first issue.

Summary

I tested this MCP server through an OpenClaw-style host that can connect to remote MCP endpoints but does not consistently expose custom HTTP headers in every setup path. The current docs mention the ?token= fallback, but there is no compatibility note aimed at hosts in this family.

Expected

A short doc section explaining when header-based auth works, when ?token= is required, and the security tradeoffs.

Actual

Users have to infer the right auth mode by reading multiple places in the repo.

Suggested acceptance criteria

  • Add one short compatibility note for OpenClaw-like clients.
  • Mention both Authorization header and ?token= flows.
  • Link the note from the README client setup area.
