Problem

The "Review current gh-aw signals" step instructs learners to fetch a research index with a fallback loop:

Verified live:

  • https://raw.githubusercontent.com/github/gh-aw/main/LLMs.txt → HTTP 404
  • https://raw.githubusercontent.com/github/gh-aw/main/llms.txt → HTTP 404
  • https://github.github.com/gh-aw/llms.txt → HTTP 200 (the only working URL)

Neither casing of LLMs.txt/llms.txt exists at the root of the github/gh-aw repository — there is no such file there. The loop silently fails twice (both curl calls error out) before falling through to the one URL that actually works. This models an incorrect research technique and wastes learner time guessing why the first two attempts produce no output.

The same broken URL is also repeated in the trailing <research-node-metadata> XML comment:

Current correct syntax

Only the gh-aw documentation site endpoint works:

  1. Replace the three-URL fallback loop with a single curl call against https://github.github.com/gh-aw/llms.txt.
  2. Update the <primary-source> value in the trailing <research-node-metadata> comment to the same working URL.
