Device: ASUS ROG Ally X (2024), AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I am using an ASUS ROG Ally X (2024 model) running SteamOS 3.8.28.

The physical power button does not behave as expected.

When I briefly press the power button, the device enters sleep mode normally.

However, when I press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds, the device also enters sleep mode instead of opening the power menu.

I would expect the power button to behave similarly to the Steam Deck:

Short press: Enter sleep mode.

Long press: Open the power menu (Sleep, Restart, Shut Down, etc.).

Currently, both actions trigger sleep mode, making it impossible to access the power menu using the physical power button.

This appears to be an issue with power button event handling or long-press detection on the ASUS ROG Ally X.

I hope Valve can investigate and address this issue in a future SteamOS update.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Start the ASUS ROG Ally X (2024) and enter SteamOS Gaming Mode.

Briefly press the physical power button. The device enters sleep mode normally.

Wake the device and press and hold the physical power button for approximately 2 seconds.

The device enters sleep mode again instead of displaying the power menu.

Repeat the test. Both short and long presses produce the same sleep behavior.
