Start by reviewing the attached spikeinterface_log.json and the reported old_api_utils code path for the location property, then run the provided toy_example with Mountainsort4 to reproduce the error. Done means the example runs successfully with Mountainsort4; the issue does not identify a specific file to change or establish the cause.

Descrizione

bug in sorter

Hi all,

First, thanks for the amazing work with spikeinterface. I'm looking into it again after a few years and the progress since then is really impressive!! This is really much appreciated.

My current problem is with running Mountainsort 4 via spike interface, either on my own data or on the dummy data created in this page.
(code for the dummy recording:
this_rec, _ = se.toy_example( duration=30, seed=0, num_channels=64, num_segments=1
)

I'm getting an error during the running of Mountainsort 4 which probably has a really easy fix, but I'm not sure how to find out what it is:

v = values[ind[0]]
TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable

Attaching the spikeinterface_log.json file:
spikeinterface_log.json

I get the same error whether I run it after installing it, or with the "Docker".

Looking more into it the error seems to relate to this code in 'old_api_utils' when 'property' = location,
but I'm not sure how to fix that:

Any suggestions? thanks a lot in advance!
