Direzione di ricerca

Start by reviewing issue #1273 and the current CLI behavior described here. Compare the proposed flag names and determine how one invocation should select special rules while disabling noqa only for them; done means the behavior is agreed and no longer requires two flake8 runs.

Descrizione

describe the request

Hi - thanks for the project!

In some projects I work in, we have a bunch of flake8 rules, but a few "extra special please dont turn off" rules which we run with --disable-noqa. Currently, this process requires running flake8 twice, once flake8 then again flake8 --disable-noqa --select MYRULE1.

I found this old issue which I think looked to solve this #1273. I wonder if y'all see value in revisiting this as a seperate CLI flag --disable-noqa-select or --select-disable-noqa (or whatever!) to prevent the need to do this dual-running.

The initial author did mention

I'd be happy to convert this to a separate option if the risk is unacceptable, but this felt cleaner and more user-friendly to me.

but I dont think that was ever explored.

Happy to work on this issue if there is appetite!
