The warnings come from geopandas area, buffer, distance and length calls on geographic-CRS geometries at climada.util.lines_polys_handler (line 957), climada.hazard.tc_tracks (lines 644 and 647), and climada.hazard.centroids.centr (line 637); the test-side hit is climada.util.test.test_coordinates (line 1701). Start by reproducing with the test suite and confirming the warning text. Done means each call site either reprojects to a suitable projected CRS first or the warning is otherwise resolved, with the affected tests still passing.
