Review the task view's stated scope alongside the ggchangepoint package description and its bcp_wrapper(), beast_wrapper(), bocpd_wrapper(), ggcpt_posterior(), and ggcpt_runlength() interfaces. Determine whether calling Bayesian changepoint engines fits the view; done means reaching a scope decision and, if accepted, identifying the resulting task-view update.

Descripción

ggchangepoint (0.4.0) may be a marginal fit for this view, and I would rather ask than assume.

It implements no inference of its own. It is a unified interface over changepoint engines on CRAN, three of which are Bayesian: bcp_wrapper() (Barry and Hartigan product partition models), beast_wrapper() (Bayesian estimator of abrupt change, seasonality and trend) and bocpd_wrapper() (Bayesian online changepoint detection).

The Bayesian-specific output is exposed rather than flattened away: ggcpt_posterior() plots posterior changepoint probability, and ggcpt_runlength() plots the online run-length distribution. Because these share the ggcpt class with the penalty-based detectors, ggcpt_compare() can put a posterior-based and a frequentist answer on the same series.

If the view's scope is packages that perform Bayesian computation rather than packages that call them, this clearly falls outside and I am happy for the issue to be closed on that basis.

Disclosure: I am the package author.
