Línea de trabajo

Start by reproducing the failure with the provided OpenStudio-HPXML branch and workflow, comparing the IDF run with the --export-epJSON run. Inspect the generated Fan:SystemModel object and trace where number_of_speeds and its speed fractions are serialized. Done when epJSON contains two speed fractions for two speeds and the simulation succeeds; the issue names no source files or tests.

Description

When using the OS CLI --export-epJSON argument, the simulation fails because the Fan:SystemModel object is invalid. Everything works correctly when using IDF.

Current Behavior

The simulation fails with epJSON. The Fan:SystemModel object ends up with "number_of_speeds" : 2 but only a single speed fraction.

Expected Behavior

The simulation should succeed with epJSON (like it does for IDF). The Fan:SystemModel object has Number of Speeds=2 and two speed fractions.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Check out this branch of OpenStudio-HPXML
  2. Run openstudio run -w workflow/template-run-hpxml.osw -- simulation succeeds!
  3. Run openstudio run -w workflow/template-run-hpxml.osw --export-epJSON -- simulation fails!
  4. Inspect the Fan:SystemModel object in the epJSON
