Research direction

Find the two named tests, TestEstimatorSymSgdClassificationTrainer and TestEstimatorSymSgdInitPredictor, and inspect how this test suite applies platform-specific quarantines. Limit the quarantine to Linux ARM32 for local runs and both Debug and Release configurations. Confirm both tests are quarantined on that platform while ARM64, Windows, x64, and other SymSGD tests remain unaffected.

Description

area-Native untriaged

System Information (please complete the following information):

  • OS & Version: Ubuntu 22.04 ARM32 Helix container (ubuntu-22.04-helix-arm32v7).
  • ML.NET Version: PR #7833, commit 100af589f.
  • .NET Version: .NET 8, Debug and Release.

Describe the bug
TestEstimatorSymSgdClassificationTrainer becomes runnable with accurate native-library detection, then reports Too many args to microtask: 26! and hangs until the 3,600-second work-item timeout. Debug also reports malloc(): unsorted double linked list corrupted.

Additional context
Quarantine TestEstimatorSymSgdClassificationTrainer and TestEstimatorSymSgdInitPredictor only on Linux ARM32, including local runs and both build configurations. Preserve ARM64, Windows, x64, and other SymSGD tests.

After the first quarantine, build 1643911 reaches TestEstimatorSymSgdInitPredictor, which reports the same microtask error and exits 255 (Release log). The recorded failures are from Helix; the quarantine is OS/architecture-based.
