Research direction

Find the UsfmParser code that replaces ~ with a nonbreaking space, then compare its handling with ParatextData's CharacterCategorizer.IsWordFormingCharacter check. Update the replacement behavior to account for word-forming tildes and verify that ordinary tildes still become nonbreaking spaces.

Description

A tilde (~) can be a word forming character. Currently these are just converted to NBSP, but the UsfmParser should perform a check similar to ParatextData's if (!CharacterCategorizer.IsWordFormingCharacter('~')) before performing the string replacement:

// Replace ~ with nbsp
text = text.Replace('~', '\u00A0');
