Research direction

Start with the README Capabilities section and .project-docs/parity.md (Polygon modeling) to see which primitives exist and how unsupported controls are described today. The acceptance criteria also require MCP tool schemas, Editor protocol tests, .project-docs/mcp.md updates, a native visual check, and a comparison against the pinned Maya reference in #5, so this is not a small change. Done means each new primitive is either implemented with tests and documentation or visibly disabled with a reason.

Description

area/modeling help wanted in-progress type/feature

Problem

Only cube and plane can be created.

Current behavior

README Capabilities; .project-docs/parity.md (Polygon modeling).

Expected behavior

Sphere, cylinder, cone, torus and the other Maya polygon primitives with creation options, each visibly unsupported until done. Modeling menus: https://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2026/ENU/Maya-Modeling/files/GUID-A0E08BF2-0206-4518-8431-DC4E15AD4558.htm .

Acceptance criteria

  • Only quad meshes are supported today; triangles and poles need a topology decision recorded in the PR.
  • Unimplemented controls stay visibly disabled with a reason; no dummy tools or controls.
  • MCP coverage in the same change: implemented operations and relevant state exposed with synchronized tool schemas, real Editor protocol tests (scene token, draft, modal, close and busy guards) and updates to .project-docs/mcp.md and its coverage inventory.
  • Native visual check of the real window (screenshot reviewed), not only headless tests.
  • Tests cover malformed, empty, boundary and failure cases; failed operations preserve the baseline.
  • No parity claim without comparison against the pinned Maya reference (#5); unverified constants are documented as provisional.
