Research direction

Start with src/mesh.rs to compare the polygon-plane construction with the sphere, cylinder, and cone defaults. Check the pinned Maya 2026 reference and existing PROVISIONAL notes, then align the plane default or document the deliberate difference. Done means the plane’s subdivision behavior matches the chosen documented expectation and its status is clear.

Description

area/modeling type/bug

Found by a docs gap audit against the Maya 2026 documentation.

Maya 2026 polyPlane: subdivisionsX / Y "Default is 5", width and height 1.0 (https://help.autodesk.com/cloudhelp/2026/ENU/Maya-Tech-Docs/CommandsPython/polyPlane.html).

AztecCraft builds a single quad (src/mesh.rs) and, unlike sphere, cylinder and cone, does not mark the choice PROVISIONAL.

Expected: the documented default, or an explicit PROVISIONAL note if the UI default differs (to check against the pinned reference).
