Research direction

Start by tracing date formatting in web/src/lib/format.ts, the web/src/ date fields, mobile/lib/core/utils/formatters.dart, and formatDateOnly in certificate-renderer.ts. In Thai, the console and the app write today as "28 ก.ย. 2026": Thai month, Gregorian year. Thai offices count years in พ.ศ., and a competitor (PeopleFlow, a Thai per-head HR service) opens its landing page with exactly this. Worse, some places are not localised at all:

  • The employment certificate PDF prints the hire date as 2024-01-15 (formatDateOnly in certificate-renderer.ts). That is on a document an employee hands to a bank.
  • Date input fields in the console are the browser's own (type="date", eleven of them), so they show whatever the browser's locale is. The product film shows 09/01/2026, month first.

Only what is displayed changes. Stored values and the API stay ISO dates in the Gregorian calendar, and English stays Gregorian.

Acceptance

  • In Thai, every year shown in the console, the app and generated PDFs is Buddhist era: 28 ก.ย. 2569.
  • Date fields in Thai show and accept a Buddhist-era date, day first. Typing or picking 1 ต.ค. 2569 stores 2026-10-01.
  • Certificates and payslips write dates in words the way Thai documents do: "15 มกราคม 2567".
  • A test catches a Gregorian year on a Thai screen, so the next new screen cannot bring it back.
  • English is unchanged.
  • The tax filing formats (CW-045 to CW-048) follow their own published layouts and are out of scope here.
