Research direction

The issue names no files, tests or entry points, so begin by searching the repository for the dialogue text rendering code and the existing settings or options menu. Confirm with a maintainer where the setting should live and how the Normal, Fast and Instant options should behave before you change anything. Done means the three options exist, persist, and change only text appearance, leaving voice, cutscenes and gameplay timing untouched.

The idea

Hi! I'd like to suggest an optional setting to adjust the speed at which dialogue text appears during conversations.

It would be great to have a few options:

  • Normal: Original text speed.
  • Fast: Text appears significantly faster.
  • Instant: The entire dialogue line appears immediately.

This would make conversations more comfortable, especially for players replaying the game or streaming.

Ideally, this setting would only affect text appearance, without speeding up voice acting, cutscenes or gameplay.

Thank you for your amazing work on the project!
