Research direction

The bug is in the Japanese translation resources, so start by searching the repository for the existing "ポスト" and "リポスト" strings and finding which localization file overrides the English "Tweet" rebranding. Change the Japanese entries to ツイート, ツイートする and リツイート, keeping the same keys the English strings use. Done means that with the app language set to Japanese, the compose button and repost labels show the rebranded wording, which the reporter offered to test on a build.

Problem
I'm using the sideloaded Twitter build (7.1.1, Twitter 12.31.1) on iPhone.

With the app language set to English, the rebranding works: the compose button says "Tweet".

With Japanese, the X-era wording is still shown, e.g. "ポスト" and "ポストする".

Expected

  • ポスト → ツイート
  • ポストする → ツイートする
  • リポスト → リツイート

I'm happy to help test a build. Thank you for your work on NeoFreeBird!
