Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue on Android 15 with a recording saved in Internal/Recordings, then compare playback with the same setup using Internal/Download/SubFolder. The issue names no source files or tests; trace how the app reads recordings from these locations. Done means recordings in Recordings show their duration and play without an IOException.

Written by the indexing model from the issue text.

Actual behavior

I noticed that when chosen, Internal -> Recordings (/storage/emulated/0/Recordings) or even creating a subfolder inside.

Player -> shows duration as '00:00'. On playing it shows 'Error:java.io.IOException: setDataSource failed.: status=0x80000...' toast. However, the recorded file exists in the folder and sounds just fine.

If you choose, Internal -> Download/SubFolder
(/storage/emulated/0/Download/SubFolder), then Voice Recorder shows the duration and plays files correctly.

Irrelevant to sound format.
