Research direction

The request is for a way to preview the incoming-call screen with the current settings applied, without placing a real call. The issue names no files or entry points, so start by finding the incoming-call screen and the settings that affect it in the Kotlin Android codebase. Since the thread has no comments yet, confirm with maintainers how the preview should be reached before building it. Done means a user can open a preview that reflects their current call-screen settings.

Feature description

It would be a nice feature to have a possibility to preview what an incoming call will look like.

Why do you want this feature?

Because otherwise you always have to find a way to call yourself from another phone or wait for the next call to see how your settings affected the calling screen.
