Research direction

Start with package.py and trace how hosted jobs are packaged and where run data is recorded; the issue names a proposed telemetry/ folder for an event log, net-class decisions, and CONTRACT score. Then inspect how local installs store .etchwork/ data and how etchwork share commands are implemented. The scope needs decisions about collecting raw designs versus derived facts and whether to collect a post-fab outcome label before implementation can be considered done.

Description

decision flywheel

Get run data off the machine, never silently:

  1. Hosted jobs: package.py adds a telemetry/ folder (event log, net-class decisions, CONTRACT score), collected under the hosted terms.
  2. Local installs: etchwork share bundles .etchwork/, redacted, shows the user what it holds, and sends it only when they confirm.

Decisions first: may hosted jobs collect raw designs, or derived facts only? And is there a post-fab "did the board work" label (a form, a fab partner integration, or nothing)?
