Research direction

Start by locating the editor's keyboard handling and entity movement entry points, then read how selected entities and the entity grid are represented. Implement the requested first option: an arrow key moves all selected entities one grid step, or one pixel when the grid is disabled. Check that movement works in each direction and with the grid both enabled and disabled; held-key repetition and Shift movement are optional additions.

Description

It would be great if, to move entities with greater precision, I can press an arrow key. Ideally, pressing an arrow key would move all selected entities one step along the entity grid in that direction (or one pixel if the grid is disabled), and holding shift while pressing an arrow key would move it five steps. Holding down an arrow key should move the entity smoothly in that direction, with increasing speed as time goes on. However, I'm only really asking for the first option, the additions to that would be useful but not nearly as much and I don't know how difficult to implement.
