The report says both evtx_dump.py and evtx_dump_json miss an event in an attached Sysmon log, while libevtx and chainsaw display it. Start by reproducing the discrepancy with the attached log and tracing how the parser handles dirty chunks. Done when the missing rclone event is parsed and displayed correctly by both tools.

Hello,
during HTB CTF 2023 I have noticed that the evtx_dump.py (nor evtx_dump_json) has the complete data.
There is event in attached sysmon log about executing "rclone", but it is not visible using the python-evtx:
