The issue gives one reproduction: rustup +stage1 target add <TAB> still lists targets from the active toolchain instead of the +stage1 toolchain. Start by reproducing it in a shell with rustup completions loaded, then find where the target completion list is built and check whether it receives the +toolchain override. Done means the suggestions for target sub-commands match the toolchain named on the command line, and a test or manual check covers the +toolchain case.

The completions suggested for the rustup target sub-commands do not account for the toolchain selected in the +toolchain syntax.
For example, rustup +stage1 target add <TAB> suggests every target (available in the active toolchain in the directory), but it should not.
