[6.x]: Element index shows thumbnails at the default size until the page finishes loading

What happened?
Steps to reproduce
- Go to Assets and select a volume in table view.
- In the View menu, set Thumb Size to Large.
- Reload the page.
Expected behavior
The rows render with Large thumbnails from the start.
Actual behavior
The rows first render with Small thumbnails, then switch to Large once the index finishes loading.
In thumbs view with a non-default size (e.g. XL), the tiles have the right size from the start, but their thumbnails stay blank until loading finishes.
