Start at the codegraph ui entry point and trace how the browser viewer renders interface text, including the Screens view at #/screens. Check whether the viewer already has a language-selection or persistence mechanism before choosing an approach. Done means users can select English or Simplified Chinese, the selection survives a reload, and the requested interface text is translated without changing source names, paths, or routes.

Feature request
Please add Simplified Chinese (zh-CN) support to the browser viewer launched by codegraph ui, including the Screens view (#/screens).
Current behavior
The viewer's navigation, buttons, explanations, and other interface text are in English. I could not find a language selector or a Simplified Chinese language pack.
Observed on September 25, 2026, on Windows using a source build from main at commit ba3c21e50d9129d2f5f3843ec3728868ae6d47a1. The package still reports version 1.6.0, but this is the unreleased build containing the browser viewer.
Requested behavior
- Offer an English / Simplified Chinese language selector and remember the selection after a page reload.
- Translate navigation and interface text, including Screens, Map, Entry points, Symbol, buttons, tooltips, empty states, and error messages.
- Keep source code, symbol names, file paths, and route paths unchanged so the graph remains faithful to the indexed project.
Why this would help
A Chinese interface would make the viewer and its explanations more accessible to Chinese-speaking developers, without relying on browser translation while reading code and relationships.
Scope and related contributions
This request is specifically for the browser viewer, rather than README translation (#156, #1682), the bilingual VS Code extension proposed in #719, or support for searching Chinese filenames.
Would you consider adding a localization mechanism and an initial Simplified Chinese translation?
