Start by tracing the lineplot backend handling of the showMissingness='allVariables' option and compare it with the referenced boxplot behavior. this may be another case like boxplot where its maybe best to not include 'no data' values for the yaxis.. i cant return a mean of 'no data', and in proportion mode for categorical y axes thinking about toggling no data on gives me a headache (would it automatically become numerator and denominator values or something?)
as for the xaxis.. i dont mind returning a no data bin but it doesnt feel right to connect it to the other markers/ data points w a line and were already using line breaks for 0:0 proportions i believe
so maybe this shouldnt be an option ever for line plot?
