Description
The yosys verilog parser is getting long in the tooth and has pathological performance on canonicalization(writing out .rtlil files). slang is the future.
This is a trivial change to variable.yaml, but it needs to be coordinated with testing of non-public designs that need to explicitly set that they need to use yosys for now, also there will be some QoR trades (some better, some worse) as this fuzzes the input to yosys.
