The issue names the ADMM solver but no file or test; first locate its implementation and existing tests for the identity case. Read how the solver applies A and B, then determine what general operators and default identity behavior require. Done means the solver supports general A and B while A=None and B=None preserve identity behavior, with tests covering both.

Currently the ADMM solver accommodates only for the special case of A and B identities.
We should extend the solver to more general cases and have A=None and B=None as defaults (which means identities)
