The warning is raised from the GDAL Python bindings at osgeo.gdal line 606 and surfaces in climada.test.test_nightlight. Run that test first to reproduce the FutureWarning, then find where GDAL is imported in the package. Deciding whether to set exceptions explicitly in the library or in the tests is a design choice, so check with maintainers first. Done means the warning no longer appears and the chosen exception behaviour is consistent across the test suite.

Neither gdal.UseExceptions() nor gdal.DontUseExceptions() has been explicitly called. In GDAL 4.0, exceptions will be enabled by default.
