Start by reviewing the screenshot and context in issue #188, then trace whether legend placement is handled in PEtab-GUI or delegated to libpetab-python. The work is done when the legend is outside the plotting region and no longer overlaps the plot.

I think it's preferable to have the legend placed outside the plotting region to reduce overlap (See, for example, screenshot in #188.)
TBD whether this can be done here or needs to be addressed at https://github.com/PEtab-dev/libpetab-python/.
