Research direction

Start with prerequisite issue #88 to identify the approved account contract and whether browser-session reuse is selected. Then read internal/web/handler/auth.go, internal/identity/, and internal/session/ to map existing account, session, TOTP, and Turnstile behavior. Done means the selected server integration preserves existing web login, enforces the contract’s binding and replay rules, verifies successful and rejected flows, and documents the Android-facing errors.

Description

android difficulty: advanced enhancement help wanted security

Roadmap: #76

Goal

Implement the server-owned portion of the account contract approved in #88.

Acceptance criteria

  • Implement only the endpoints/session behavior required by the chosen contract, reusing existing account and session services.
  • Preserve TOTP, Turnstile verification, session expiration, and existing web-login behavior.
  • Enforce request binding, replay prevention, and cancellation/expiration rules defined by the contract.
  • Verify rejected and successful flows using isolated accounts and synthetic challenges.
  • Document the client-facing success/error contract for the Android integration.

Start: internal/web/handler/auth.go, internal/identity/, and internal/session/. If #88 selects browser-session reuse, implement and verify that integration instead of inventing a parallel token protocol.

Prerequisites: #88.
